Description:

This Boot Camp teaches learners how to use an expert-level problem-solving process that includes options analysis to support complex network technologies and topologies. This course is part of a blended learning curriculum that supports expert-level preparation in routing and switching.

This new format Routing and Switching Lab preparation boot camp fully covers the new Version 4.0 Lab introduced by Cisco in October 2009.

Objectives:

Upon completing this course, students will be able to meet these objectives:

• Resolve expert-level Switching and Frame-relay issues

• Resolve expert-level RIPv2, Eigrp and OSPF issues

• Resolve expert-level BGP issues

• Resolve expert-level Multicasting

• Resolve expert-level router and switch QoS

• Resolve expert-level Troubleshooting issues

• Resolve expert-level MPLS/VPN issues

The knowledge and skills that a student must have before attending this course are the following advanced-level competencies (knowledge and skills):

• CCNP or equivalent knowledge

• Review of Micronics’ “The Foundation 2.0” Workbook

Who Should Attend?

The primary audience for this course is network engineers that need be able to use an expert-level problem-solving process that includes options analysis to support complex network technologies and topologies.

The secondary audience is networking designers that design and support complex network technologies and topologies.

The duration of this boot camp is 5 days.

Monday – Thursday 9:00 AM - ??? (The course will run late into the evening)
Friday 9:00 AM - 2:00 PM

 

Instructor:

Narbik Kocharians CCSI, CCIE #12410 (R&S, Security, SP)

Narbik a Triple CCIE has over 32 years of experience in the industry. He has designed, implemented and supported numerous enterprise networks. Some of the companies that Narbik has worked for are IBM, Carlton United Breweries, Australian Cable and Wireless, BP, AMOCO and in US, 20th Century Ins., Home Saving of America, Verizon, TTI, Trinet Inc, NLI, IPexpert, Anderson Networking and Consulting and many more. Narbik has been a dedicated CCIE instructor for over 12 years.

Course Delivery Method

This boot camp is a combination of lecture and hands-on labs

In the Boot Camp the instructor will use a combination of whiteboard “Chalk talks” and “one on one mentoring”, the instructor will not use an overhead projector, Micronics believes in the traditional method of teaching and NOT the new method of Lecturing.

The class-room material and hardware are based on current CCIE Routing and Switching Blueprint.

 

Retake Policy:

Students can retake the same course for FREE subject to availability.  If the student wants to do the labs, they must have access to their own pod of hardware. This hardware can either be rented from a vendor of your choice or we can assist in renting you a rack.

Course Location:

The course will be held at our permanent training location in Milton Keynes, UK.  We welcome students from around the world to come and attend, transport links from all major airports are very easy and you can either choose to stay at our venue (please mention Networks Inc for a discount) or at one of the other nice hotels in the vicinity.
